    1. Open an existing Lightroom catalog, or create a new one. Make sure you have generated SMART PREVIEWS. For a detailed walkthrough, check out our video tutorial.

    2. Load your images into this Lightroom catalog. Important Note that PHAiTO will replace and overwrite any pre-existing edits, so make sure you have everything in a clean catalog or have organized your collections. Once loaded, quit Lightroom.

    3. Open the PHAITO app, and choose PLACE AN ORDER

    4. Select the Lightroom catalog that holds the images you need edited, and CHOOSE the correct collection and filters, if any. Add a checkmark to indicate this folder or collection should be uploaded.

    5. Add a Job Reference for this order, and proceed to choose the LOOK desired for this order. Feel free to add Straightening if needed. You may also select the appropriate Image Filters to upload a select number of images. For example, if you have 3* as you final selection to edit, uncheck all the boxes except 3*, and you should see the correct # of images. If you have created a collection instead, under Show Catalog content by: select collection instead of folder.

    6. Hit the CHOOSE button. Add more catalogs if needed. When ready, hit SEND, and PHAiTO will start uploading the images right away.

    7. **** Now’s a good time to answer some emails, go grab a coffee, market your business, play with your kids, meditate, or plan a vacation!

    8. Once your images are ready, an e-mail will be delivered to your inbox!

    9. Once you have received the email, go directly to your PHAiTO app, and choose DOWNLOAD EDITED IMAGES. Select the order, and press DOWNLOAD. This step will happen very quickly!

    10 And lastly, re-open your Lightroom Catalog to view the edits! There is no need to import a catalog, the edits will be visible from your catalog directly once the previews reload.     HOW TO MAKE SMART PREVIEWS HERE

  • After downloading your PHAiTO edits and opening your catalog, it might appear as though nothing has been touched. This is because Lightroom occasionally has difficulty re-generating the Preview files. The quickest way to correct the issue is to:

    Close Lightroom Classic

    Locate the “Previews.lrdata” file on your computer that is linked to the catalog in question. (Hot tip: Before you close Lightroom, right click on the catalog name in the top menu bar to locate where the catalog file lives on your computer, the “Previews.lrdata” file will be in the same location)

    3. Delete the “Previews.lrdata”
    4. Re-open the Lightroom Catalog, and the previews will regenerate automatically, now with the PHAiTO edits applied.

  • We’ve transitioned away from DNG converters, using instead Smart Previews, a Lightroom companion file, to ensure a more seamless experience. While this requires a bit of extra work before uploading to PHAiTO, it significantly improves the process. Here are the steps to create Smart Previews:

    • Open your Lightroom catalog and navigate to the Library Module.

    • Select all the images you want to send to PHAiTO.

    • In the top menu bar, select: Library > Previews > Build Smart Previews.

    • Wait for the progress bar to finish.

    • Close your catalog and send it to PHAiTO!

    Incidentally, Smart Previews also enhance the overall editing experience beyond PHAiTO, making your workflow more efficient.

    For a minimal change to your workflow, you can create Smart Previews upon import by checking the box “Build Smart Previews” in the File Handing panel on the right hand side of the Import Dialogue Box!

  • Ai editing is very fast, and takes on average 1sec per image.

    Most orders are returned within an hour, but can sometimes take a little bit longer during peak hours, when there are a few orders in the queue.

  • PHAITO will only work if your images are loaded into a Lightroom Classic catalog.

    You will need to have Adobe Lightroom Classic V12.0 or higher in order to use PHAiTO.

  • PHAiTO will work on both PC or MAC, with the following minimum specs:

    On a PC: Windows 7 or 10. Lightroom Classic 7.0 or higher

    On a MAC: Mac OS X 10.14 or higher. Lightroom Classic 7.0 or higher
