PHAiTO is advanced Ai photo technology educated with over 120,000 images that were meticulously worked on by the Photo Editing experts of Image Salon.

Ever since the early days of Image Salon, we knew the power of Ai would eventually make its way into the post-production workflow of photography.

We also knew that due to the complexity and subjective nature of photo editing developing artificial intelligence to properly colour correct images in Lightroom wouldn't be an easy task.

Over the course of 8+ years of running a successful photo editing outsourcing company, editing over 31,000,000 images, we felt the Image Salon team was uniquely positioned to create a superb Ai photo editor.

The challenge with photo editing outsourcing though, is that not all photographers are the same. We each have our own unique style and slightly different ways of perceiving an image. Ai photo editing is not at the level where it is able to replace the creative expression and artistic touch of a photographer.

However, a good photo edit starts with a clean, neutral, and consistence post-production foundation. With PHAiTO our aim was to educate an artificial intelligence that could deliver naturally balanced consistent edits time after time. Saving photographers countless hours of being trapped behind a screen.

Working closely with our team of experienced photo editors, we set out to educate the Ai that powers PHAiTO on how to analyze an image and make the appropriate calculated adjustments in Adobe Lightroom.

FOUR CRAFTED EDITING STYLES TO CHOOSE FROM

With Image Salon's established guidelines and perfected procedures, our team of photo editors trained PHAiTO's Ai on how to achieve similar results to Image Salon's four EXPRESS colour correction styles - Classic, Bright & Airy, Dark & Moody and Punchy.

PHAiTO analyzes each picture and then applies dynamic adjustments, based on the subject of the image, to the White balance, exposure, contrast, highlight, shadows, whites, and blacks sliders in Adobe Lightroom. While also applying fixed settings to clarity, dehaze, texture, vibrance, saturation, tone curve, HSL, colour grading, lens correction, sharpening, noise reduction, and grain to maximize the impact of each photo.

Over 120,000 Lightroom edited photos later PHAiTO is now able to properly edit an image within seconds achieving edits that are 90% accurate when compared to Image Salon Express services.
